The Searching For Freedom

The film focuses around the story of Holy Land Foundation which established in the end of the eighties by three Americans from Palestinian origin, they are Shukri Abu Baker, Ghassan Elashi and Mohammad El-Mezain, to supply humanitarian aids to the Palestinians in Palestine and Countries hosting Palestinian refugees, to became later the largest Charity association in the US to distribute the humanitarian aids to Palestinians. But after 09/11 attacks, there was a decision issued by the US President George W. Bush to shut down the Holy Land Foundation and freezing its assets. And in 2007 the trial of Holy Land Foundation and its five members began in charge of funding terrorism and sending money to Hamas which is in the list of terrorism in the United States. The first part of the film shows the details of the charges against the foundation and its members, and the circumstances which they faced and their families because of these charges, and the details around the first trial.
